      Description

I'm currently executing the start script from within init using start-stop-daemon with the --PID option. The start script makes it difficult to terminate the java process since it is orphaned when the launch script is terminated.

      e.g. this happens: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1644856/terminate-running-commands-when-shell-script-is-killed

I'm currently relying on pkill. Wonder what the proper fix here is?
